AFRIKAN HERITAGE UNIVERSE is pleased to announce a unique & exciting poetry competition, the guidelines of which are as follow:
WHAT: Compose a poem
LENGTH: From 3 to 5 verses
TITLE: Belong, Belong, Belong.
STIPULATION: Each verse must end with:
"I belong to Afrika and Afrika belongs to me
You belong to Afrika and Afrika belongs to you
We belong to Afrika and Afrika belongs to us"
WHO CAN ENTER: Open to any person of Afrikan descent, anywhere.
LANGUAGE: All languages are acceptable. Contestants must provide an English translation for submissions made in other languages.
NUMBER OF POEMS PER CONTESTANT: Each contestant is permitted a maximum of 3 poems.
STYLE OF POETRY: Any style, especially those that are representative of Afrikan heritage & culture; eg. Praise Poetry, Rap, Spoken Word and other forms of Afrikan / Black artistic expression.
